Minimum tax makes group reporting a tax requirement

Assess scope at group level

A Dutch entity’s own turnover alone does not determine whether the minimum tax rules apply. The wider domestic or international group and consolidated data are the starting point. Local management needs to know who performs the scope assessment.

Reconcile the reporting package with local figures

The relevant effective tax calculation is not simply tax expense divided by profit in one set of accounts. Specific adjustments and accounting differences can matter. Keep bridges between group reporting, Dutch annual accounts and tax returns.

Assign responsibilities and report later corrections

Confirm who calculates, files and supplies data, including internal deadlines earlier than statutory dates. A later local adjustment may affect group calculations. Preserve the original-to-final reconciliation and inform the group owner so different versions do not circulate without explanation.
